January

Sarah is growing so fast. She is VERY busy. She is also very verbal. She knows all of the kids in her class by name. She pretty much will try and say anything. She LOVES Dora the Explorer and is interactive with show. She is starting to become a little independent and likes to say "I do it". She has quite the personality! This is probably no surprise to anyone but I have already had two different teachers at her school tell me that she is a tomboy. I wonder where she gets that from?!?!

Christmas

Sarah had a wonderful Christmas. Even though she did not get the whole Santa thing this year, she did very much enjoy all of her new toys!

Santa Sunday at the Yacht Club

We recently took Sarah to the Yacht Club for Santa Sunday. We were pretty sure she was not going to be interested in sitting Santa's lap but we thought we would try anyway. We arrived early and enjoyed a wonderful lunch with Mom and Dad. Our table was located very near to were Santa's chair was set up. Once we finished lunch and were awaiting Santa's arrival, Sarah began to get a little fussy. Amazingly as soon as Santa entered the room, she straightened right up! As suspected, she did not want to get anywhere near him. However, she did not take her eyes off of him and was very well behaved the rest of the time we were there. Santa has amazing powers!

Sarah and Poppa

Mom and I went to an event at St. Vincent's so Poppa was on babysitting duty. As most of you know, Sarah is an excellent sleeper and rarely, if ever, gives us any trouble at bedtime. When mom and I returned home, this is what we found. Apparently, Sarah worked Poppa with some crying and he held her instead of leaving her in her bed and she finally gave up in his arms.

Halloween

Since Thanksgiving is almost here, I figured I better post the Halloween pictures! We had a great time Trick or Treating around the neighborhood. Sarah dressed as a cowgirl and Gary and I got into the spirit with some western wear ourselves. However, since we do live in Pooler, GA our costumes could easily have been mistaken for everday wear. Gary especially looked very natural in his clothes! Ali even dressed up. She was a bull with a rider on her back! Sarah had a great time taking candy and putting it in her bag. Mickey Mouse even stopped by to say hello! Sarah loved that. Encase you didn't know, Sr. Pat was Mickey Mouse. Word got out that Mickey Mouse was at our house and kids came looking for him. It was pretty cool. In trying to soak up the experience myself, I didn't get a ton of great pictures so enjoy the few I did get.

R.I.P. Toby Dog

This past Monday we lost a dear member of the family - Toby Tide Teeple Mountjoy. He had been battling cancer and some tumors for quite sometime and it finally just became too much for him. He was 13 1/2 years old. I got him when I graduated from college so he has been with me my entire adult life. We are very sad but also relieved that he is no longer in pain. He was a great pet and family member and will be deeply missed by all.

Finally a new post!

We have been having so much fun watching Sarah grow up that I have neglected stopping and posting. September was a fun month. We visited Animal Kingdom, played at Noah's house and celebrated Thomas' and Gary's birthdays. Sarah is very "busy" and loves exploring and talking. Most of what she says is her own language but she does have a decent vocabulary. She can say Mommy, DaDa, NeeNee, Poppa, bubbles, ball, Ali, Izzy, boat, pretty, Barbara(her teacher), car, doggie, duckie, baby and I am sure I am leaving out a few others. She seems to be pretty good eater, when she wants to eat. Sometimes she is just too busy or too tired. She is still sleeping very well through the night - about 12 hours. She has her 15 month appointment later this month so we will check her stats at that time. Here are few pics.
