Sarah 3 years old and Connor 4 months old

Sarah turned 3 years old July 2nd and Connor was 4 months old on July 13th.  We have been so busy watching them grow that I am forgetting to blog about it!  Sarah had a pirate themed birthday party with her cousin Michael (who will be 2 July 19th) at NeeNee and Poppa's pool.  She is getting so big, literally.  I took her for her 3 year check up and she is in the 95th percentile for height at 39.5" and 62nd for weight at 32.5lbs.  Connor is sleeping through the night about 10-12 hours...yeah Connor.  He is full of smiles and coos and squeals all the time.  He is a very happy baby just like his sister!  He has not rolled over yet but he is close.  He loves to stand in your lap and is a fan of the animal bouncey thing.

Connor 8 Weeks - Sarah almost 3

So I am getting behind again...Connor is eight weeks old.  I started back to working from home this week and am traveling (to Vegas) next week.  He is still a great baby.  He is not sleepting through the night yet but did sleep 7 hours last night in the swing!  So the good news is that he is capable of doing it, the bad news is that it was in the swing and not in his crib!  Sarah is still doing great with him.  She just struggles with the typical 2 1/2 year old issues.   Monday is Connor's 2 month check and I am curious to see how much he weighs!  He seems a little bigger than Sarah at this point.  I am trying to get back into exercising.  I have run/walked and done the elliptical a few times but it is not fun!  Most of my pants and shorts don't fit quite yet because my hips are still a little wide but hopefully they will go back down soon!  I hope to start back swimming in a week when Connor starts daycare.  I have not totally ruled out doing the Tybee Triathlon June 10th but I have a lot of work to do between now and then to even survive it...we will see.

3 Weeks and counting

Connor is now over 3 weeks old. We saw Dr. Nave for his two week check up and he was very pleased with Connor's weight gain. He was 8 lbs 5 oz! All of his measurements came out to the 52nd percentile so he is right where he needs to be. He is doing great at home and starting to get more and more alert. The only problem is that if he is awake he thinks he needs to eat! He was a little fussy last night but I think that is becasue he has managed to catch a cold that Sarah first had and then I had it earlier this week. I guess we are testing that immune system early!

1 Week Old Already!

Connor's 1st week has already flown by! So far everyone is doing great. He is nursing like a champ and filling up diapers quickly. I am sure he will get a good report at his next Dr. visit on Monday. He lost a little too much weight after he was born (7lbs 4oz to 6lbs 10 oz) but neither I nor Dr. Nave was concerned because he just was not interested in nursing at first but he has certainly made up for lost time. We are starting to get on a schedule and I am going to skim through the Baby Wise book and refresh myself on the principles of it so that hopefully he will be a great sleeper like his sister. Sarah is still being a great big sister and loves her baby "Cubbie" or "Bubba" as she likes to call him. Today, Connor and I went over to Jennifer Grayson's house for his first official photo session. I cannot wait to see what Jen got! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I will try to keep the posts coming!

So far behind...

Well, it has been a long time since our last post and with baby #2 right around the corner, I figured I better get on it! We have been very busy watching Sarah grow and Sarah is just very busy! Her vocabulary is amazing and she can pretty much verbalize anything. She is potty trained...yeah...with the occasional accident but we have not bought diapers/pull ups in over two months (of course, that is about to change). She is going through the terrible twos and really wearing on our patience at times but we all take deep breaths and get through it! She is excited about the arrival of her baby brother, or at least she thinks she is excited. We shall see when he gets here! I think she will have good moments and not so good but, all in all, will be a great big sister and big helper! She is doing great at school and really loves her teacher Ms. Becky. She really loves her "big girl bed" and furniture and her goldfish that NeeNee and Poppa got for her for potty training. Well, I just wanted to give a little Sarah update before baby boy arrives. Stay tuned for updates....

Pool Time

We have spent a lot of time in the pool this summer already. It does not matter whether it is our neighborhood pool, Savannah Quarters or NeeNee and Poppa's Sarah has a blast! She is quite a little fish and is not afraid. Her swim vest thing has allowed her to be very independant and she has quickly learned to kick her feet to get around. If she would just add moving her arms as well she would be totally swimming. Much to Poppa's pleasure, Sarah jumps off the diving board without hesitation and even went down the water slide at Savannah Quarters by herself yesterday (I will have to video that next time)! We are having a fantastic summer! Birthday #2 is just around the corner! Enjoy the video.

Ready for a bike ride?

Often Sarah prefers to have nothing on but her diaper and...cowboy boots?!?!?

Swimming

It was another beautiful day in Savannah. Gary was not working and I was not traveling so we took Sarah to the pool for a bit. She had a blast and is not all afraid of the water, even when she accidently goes completely under. She was very upset when it was to leave! I think we have a little fish on our hands.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year. Sarah got into all of the traditions. She dyed eggs, hunted eggs, got a basket full of Dora eggs from the Easter bunny and swam in NeeNee and Poppa's pool. The weather and company was perfect!

Addison's Birthday Party at Norwood Stables

We recently attended Addison Grayson's 3rd birthday party at Norwood Stables. As you can see from the pictures, Sarah had a wonderful time riding the pony and chasing the bunnies! What a great place for a birthday party! Thanks, Addison - We had a blast.

January

Sarah is growing so fast. She is VERY busy. She is also very verbal. She knows all of the kids in her class by name. She pretty much will try and say anything. She LOVES Dora the Explorer and is interactive with show. She is starting to become a little independent and likes to say "I do it". She has quite the personality! This is probably no surprise to anyone but I have already had two different teachers at her school tell me that she is a tomboy. I wonder where she gets that from?!?!

Christmas

Sarah had a wonderful Christmas. Even though she did not get the whole Santa thing this year, she did very much enjoy all of her new toys!

Santa Sunday at the Yacht Club

We recently took Sarah to the Yacht Club for Santa Sunday. We were pretty sure she was not going to be interested in sitting Santa's lap but we thought we would try anyway. We arrived early and enjoyed a wonderful lunch with Mom and Dad. Our table was located very near to were Santa's chair was set up. Once we finished lunch and were awaiting Santa's arrival, Sarah began to get a little fussy. Amazingly as soon as Santa entered the room, she straightened right up! As suspected, she did not want to get anywhere near him. However, she did not take her eyes off of him and was very well behaved the rest of the time we were there. Santa has amazing powers!
